- Miami Restaurants
- David's Café
- 1058 Collins Avenue
(305) 534-8736 I'm Italian, so I'm genetically programmed to take coffee seriously. I stop here most mornings—not just because of the killer Cuban coffee but because the caf—draws a mix of customers: families, policemen, truck drivers. Plus, it really captures Miami's Latin vibe.
- Domo Japones
- 4000 NE 2nd Avenue
(305) 573-5474 My friend Amir Ben-Zion just opened this modern sushi place in the charming old Buena Vista post-office building. I go to his other Miami restaurants all the time—BondST Lounge in the Townhouse Hotel and Miss Yip Chinese Café in South Beach. Having this right by my office is amazingly convenient.
- Michael's Genuine Food & Drink
- 130 NE 40th Street
Atlas Plaza
(305) 573-5550 One of my go-to places for lunch. It's so relaxing sitting outside under the palm and ficus trees. I get the chopped salad, and everyone goes insane for the fries. The staff is particularly attentive, a novelty in Miami.
- Miss Yip Chinese Café
- 1661 Meridian Avenue
(305) 534-5488 This trendy bistro with a Hong Kong– inspired menu serves the lightest, most delicious food, including homemade dim sum, and it's shockingly inexpensive. After dinner, my group heads upstairs for a drink at Buck 15, a retro lounge with comfy sofas and rock, electronic and hip-hop music.
