Meet domino's Diary Bloggers
- Scrappy-Girl Decorates: Catherine Halley
Catherine hails from suburban St. Louis, Missouri. One of her earliest memories involves her mother's interior decorator, Sue Ellen, who did the house in green, yellow and pale orange. She now makes her home in a one-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, New York, where she finds herself gravitating towards a similar palette. She swears that being the web editor at domino magazine doesn't make it any easier to decorate, as you'll discover by reading her blog in which she confronts (and hopes to overcome) her anxiety about fixing up her own home.

- The Germinatrix: Ivette Soler
The Germinatrix's raison d'etre is to create, facilitate and write about incredible plants and extraordinary gardens. Ivette Soler spent part of her adult life as an actress, working her way up the Hollywood ladder in small parts on television and in films before she succumbed to nature's call. For the past ten years she has been the Horticultural Directress at Elysian Landscapes, a Los Angeles Garden Design firm specializing in creating sublime outdoor experiences. On her own, the Germinatrix often collaborates with artists on Land/Art projects, and designs the occasional garden herself. She created 'The Germinator,' a gossip magazine about plants, gardens, and gardeners, and occasionally writes for publications such as Garden Design, Cottage Living, The LA Weekly, and domino (her favorite).
