This easy recipe comes from the owner of Baker & Spice, the most divine bakery and deli in London. You'll have enough for a layer cake and to serve alongside scones.

The Ingredients


  • 4 cups strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup sugar

Put ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring and skimming off froth, until slightly thickened, 20 to 30 minutes. Let cool.

Make an entire tea party spread.
