Serves 10
The Ingredients:
- 3 cloves garlic
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 4 pints cherry tomatoes, halved
- ⅓ cup packed fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Cut garlic cloves in half lengthwise, and rub cut sides on the inside of a large serving bowl. Add olive oil to the bowl. Add tomatoes and basil; toss. Season with sea salt and pepper to taste. Cover and let sit at room temperature for an hour before serving. Toss again just before serving.
