This salad is traditionally served on Christmas Eve, but it's equally delicious at any time of the year.

The Ingredients:


Serves 10
  • 3 tbsp. red-wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1¾ lbs. frisée, chopped
  • 4 oranges, sectioned and cut into ½" pieces

Place vinegar, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper in a large serving bowl. Slowly whisk in olive oil. Add frisée and toss. Top with orange pieces.
