The Ingredients:

Makes one drink
  • Pomegranate juice
  • Blenheim ginger ale
  • Walnut halves

Pour equal amounts cold pomegranate juice and cold Blenheim mild ginger ale into a chilled punch glass. Just before serving, add 3 roasted walnut halves to glass. (The garnish is a play on the Southern tradition of dropping roasted, salted peanuts into a bottle of Coke.)

  • Shopping list (for 6 to 8):
  • 1 bottle pomegranate juice (such as R.W. Knudsen)
  • 1 six-pack of Blenheim mild ginger ale
  • 24 walnut halves (roast in 450 oven with a little vegetable oil and salt until light golden, about 6 minutes).
