Veteran show house designers Jason Oliver Nixon and John Loecke of John Loecke Inc. take us through the process of putting together a whole cottage at the Orchard Hill designer show house at Old Westbury Gardens on Long Island.
We're sitting at airport on the way to the Talisker Club in Utah for a weekend of skiing. Phone rings. Fabulous fabric company No. 9 Thompson, a new brand from Jim Thompson, will sponsor the Orchard Hill Designer show house, and they'd like us to design the space for them. We decide that the chance to design an entire ten-room cottage is too good an opportunity to pass up. We agree to the job site unseen.
