Who Needs an Imagination When You Have a Frog?
Thanks to froglegs...I mean frogpajamas, I don't need an imagination! She (I think it's a she) photoshopped the two wallpapers in question onto my bedroom walls! Lookie there. I think I like the Feathers...
July 13, 2007

They are both wonderful, it's simply a matter of personal preference. Whichever you want to wake up to every morning you go ahead and do. I personally love the softer colors of the aqua (having a pale aqua bedroom myself I find it incredible soothing. A bedroom should be too jarring.) You're onto a winner either way. Why not insert a survey if you're unsure?
I still like feathers, I think it's softer, and like Casapinka said you don't want anything the least bit jarring. I am very impressed by frogpajamas photoshopping skills. It looks like you really wallpapered.
Elektra is the bottom (vintage) one, right? Still love that one. The top one still looks like eyes to me. And wow, AMAZING skilz, Photoshop Lady!
I know--some serious Photoshop skills there!!
I like the bottom one, but like everyone said this is your bedroom so what makes it a happy place. Snaps on photoshopping skillz!
Maybe you can get her to do a mockup of the June 26 post picture, which show a larger section of the wall?
I would love for Frogpajamas to use her skills to help me place artwork around my living room. If I knew Photoshop, this would have been done weeks ago, right after I rearranged my living room. I tried the 30-day trial, but that wasn't enough time to learn well how to do what I wanted to do.
Yeah frogpajamas! Wow!
I prefer the second one, I think it goes better with your older wood pieces, whereas I picture the top one with more Kelly Wearstler type designs - glossy lacquer, lucite, crisp ceramics, i.e. super duper unrealistically polished decor you'd find in a boutique hotel.
They are both absolutely gorgeous, but the second one is just a showstopper to me - I LOVE IT!

Sure, I could photoshop another view. I saw the June 26 photos but I just liked this vignette so much. Except for those &@#$% stems in the vase.
lsaspacey, I've done that for my own art arrangements. I'd be happy to work on your photos...just have to figure out how to get my email address to you without giving it out to the whole world. ;)
Uh YEAH, feathers FOR SURE. PUHLEASE do the feathers. I am infatuated with that wallpaper and want to enjoy it vicariously through you.
I like feathers. It looks very sophisticated.
I like the second one, the lighter color with the larger print. I think its softer for a bedroom, but I agree with some of the postings above...its your bedroom and you need to think about what you would rather wake up to in the morning.
Uh, Kim (you dork), they're both feathers. Have you decided, Scrap?
Decided? What's that mean? I think I'm going to go with Feathers if I wallpaper. But that's "if". I feel like if I'm going to do the pale, vintage stuff, and I decide to go soft, I'd go with a Chinoiserie. I already have the Feather paper. I could hold onto it for a while and use it elsewhere--redo the living room one day--but I think I would like it a lot. I worry that it'll make my room dark and that I'd have to give up the idea of a mural all together. Because wallpaper and a mural would be too much, right?
Yes. If you use that I'd say do the mural in a different room.
I like the Feathers, their brighter and crisper form give the room a relaxed feel without being sloppy.
Pink you DORK, one was called Feathers and one Elektra. Or so I thought. I even re-read old post to see if I was losing it because yes, they are BOTH feathers. (But ooooohhhh, chinoiserie wallpaper would be so pretty.)
Oh, Frogpajamas, you're the best!
Frogpajamas,
I hope you check back here soon. It seems emailing to my blog does not give me your email address, it just gives me the text of your email. What good is that Blogger.com, huh?
So if you check this after your vacation, please just email your address to Scrappy Girl at videos (at) dominomag.com. She can put you in touch with me.
