Gate, Beautiful Gate!

Check out my new Anti - Escaping Dog Gate, custom made by my new Garden Minions! See, Dexter and Sadie have been busting out of our yard to frolic with the neighbor's dog, Max. Within two days, the Minions built me an extra sturdy, bulldog-proof thing of beauty! The gate's majesty now calls for more thoughtful gardening around it, so I have yet another area to design. It really is a never ending project, this gardening thing - there is no end to how detailed you can get. Even though few people will see this lovely gate on a regular basis, I know it's there, and it makes me very happy. Now I'm going to surround it with ferns and calla lilies!

No more break outs for these bad dogs!

aw... those little angels? they don't look like they would EVER do ANYTHING naughty...
!!! they're so cute, I love french bulldogs, very sweet. I also like your fence too, its a nice stain.
HA! The dogs really do look like little troublemakers. Hilarious! Nice gate, too.
Your dogs don't look too happy about the gate! Looks great though. Actually, I can't see the gate, it looks more like a fence. Is it a secret gate?
Can you guys imagine living with these tiny maniacs? Never a dull moment! Especially with Sadie, the blonde puppy - she is truly hell on wheels - or maybe 'heck on four paws' better describes her. But just look at the expression on her face ... butter wouldn't melt in that snout! Dexter, my beautiful boy, has his hands full with that Sadie.
I'm glad you all like the gate! The beauty of it is that it looks like a fence ... but, Chanchow, the whole thing opens - like a barn door. It's my favorite thing right now...
love the gate...it looks like it could lead you to a secret place.
I have a frenchie too! They can be trouble when they want to be and they know it!
Now I just have to create the secret place the great gate leads to ...
So you know exactly what it's like, Epmanda! I'm obsessed with French Bulldogs, they are fantastic little companions, aren't they? Even when they're bad, they are so cute it just kills me. Dexter is like Elvis, and Sadie is a shady little lady. They make me crazy!
I hate it when they do something bad because then they give those big sad eyes that can't let you be mad.
Mine loves to jump into bed and root under the bed covers. Does yours do that?
Mine wrestle, wrestle, wrestle ... all day long. They are little Sumo masters.
If I had a tail, I'd wag it...
If they had tails, they'd wag them, too - French Bulldogs are born without wag-able tails - they just have little buttflaps (Dexter sports one of these) or tiny nubs (Sadie's tail/nub looks just like a little Hershey's Kiss). This strange anomaly makes it extra hard to read their moods - imagine if you couldn't rely on a wagging tail to tell if a growling dog is mean or just joshing! Luckily, our pups are the joshing type.
And welcome back from Safari, Doll!
