Zinc Potted Plants
This is post is dedicated to one of my favorite peeps, Howard, the debonair dean of garden chic-porium Treillage, who told me today that he plans on starting a blog. I'm here to bully him into it! Honestly, a thank-you note from this man is like Oscar Wilde writing for The Onion. His collection of bons mots rivals his closet of vintage Moschino. Anyway, might Howie like these metal potted plants from Wisteria?
The smaller succulent is only $29; I love the shape and the zinc-y finish. I see them next to the real thing and some crisp boxwood, like on Mugatu's terrace.

I have to say that I love these and I think they would just get better looking over time. And even I (with my black thumb) couldn't kill them :).

I even think these will look excellent on a terrace when it snows and everything else dies back. On a related note, I can't remember; didn't Mugatu use large sheets of faux boxwood on his terrace? I can't find any anywhere. All I can find are terrible (Derelicte my) topiaray balls. Do you know where to find the stuff, Nick?
i agree marshale! though mugatu didn't go faux on his terrace he's not necessarily against it, and neither am i. but the fake hedges don't come cheap! here's my best online source:

YEA! FINALLY a solution for a killer-of-all-plants! Do I daresay I wish it were gold?... Perhaps that is the Hollywood Regency (yes...groan.) in me.
