This is the image John Robshaw has been sending out to his clients to draw their attention to his new collection! It leaves me longing to redecorate with all those terrific fabrics and quite frankly to hop on a plane to India IMMEDIATELY.
John has started a blog on his website called Chai Talk, which just in case there were any morcels of doubt about leaving your desk for the airport will have you clicking on Travelocity. There is a little footage of video from a trip to Jaipur showing the printing process and ladies stitching cushions in amongst the bustle, dust and sounds that are so evocatively Indian.
In the September issue of domino Scouting is devoted to India and the people who have fallen for this country, its people and its wares. John of course is in there with Carolina Irving and Mark Rice amongst others.
John Robshaw's stuff is beautiful, but it's not always available to those of us who do not inhabit the sacred precincts of Manhattan. Attempts to purchase a pillow from him this spring were fruitless, even after I telephoned the company to report problems on the website. So, unless they have substantially improved their customer service in anticipation of the Domino publicity, many readers will likely be frustrated.
interesting....i have just been on the telephone to Katie in John Robshaw's website department. She says that they are working on updating the site to deal with the exact problem that you brought up. I am hoping she is going to comment here. have a good weekend. x rita
Our website has recieved a great number of visitors since the launch last Fall and has seen an increase yet again with our recent features in Domino. We appreciate each and everyone who shops with us and any feedback that you can give is helpful in continually improving our services.
i was frustrated over a particular pillow, then Anthropologie put it up on their website. Two weeks later, they took it down. I just don't believe a $200 pillow sold out in two weeks.

Dear Katie8, it would be great if you could give a slightly more specific response to the sales online query. are you doing anything to improve online sales?
A small shop in my city just launched a web shop that carries John Robshaw. They just have a few pillows online right now, but told me that they plan on adding many more styles in the coming weeks. They have a great selection in store. Just picked up a beautiful bolster and insert! I just love John Robshaw.
