Pyramid Etagere

Is it safe to judge an e-commerce site by its layout?  Sometimes I hesitate to go off the beaten web path, concerned over quality and customer service, but I think lots of decorating gold comes in not-so-slick packaging.  For instance check out this five-tier pyramid etagere (I finally learned how to make accents but then Typepad goes all Cyrillic on me!):

Blakeandstephensunltd_1987_106356_2 The photo is enough to make my eyes bleed -- three books and a tigerlily arrangement? Yikes.  But it's nearly six feet tall, made of black metal and has a perfect obelisk shape.  I also like the mini-ball feet and finial. I could see a pair of these filled with plants flanking a sofa on a screened porch or one in a living room with books.  Might be tempted to replace the glass shelves with shiny black plexi (or antiqued mirror if I had the $$).  "Sine assenbky recquired" makes me nervous, but it's 225 bucks and Yahoo's got their back, so why not take a chance?

If you are patient and a little crafty you can give the glass an antique mirror finish. Martha Stewart has the instructions here -- http://tinyurl.com/2m3ybw

I'm scared of anyone who publishes that many misspelled words!

You're right. It would look so much better if it just had stuff on it.

Can I invite you to visit my webshop. It's just as wonky...I promise.

Best,

I have a budget friendly style blog at thecheapdiva.com, where I feature articles about home decor, fashion, beauty, etc. I also select a few blogs and web sites every week that I think are the best of the best. I just wanted you to know that Feb. 29 you were mentioned on my blog. It is a challenge to find blogs that offer both entertainment and useful advice. Keep up the great work!

a, your shop isn't wonky at all! i love these little wish tickets: http://www.viechaotique.com/Wish.html
i would glue gun them inside the frame of a cork bulletin board ...

thanks so much CheapDiva!! i'll keep the deals coming if you keep reading -- can i be the CheapDivo?!

I believe those are Peruvian lilies ...

mmm see what you mean about the layout....but it is really beautiful!

you know, Pier one had a cool Pagoda etgeree as well awhile back, it was fire engine red. I like this one, though you're right, the styling is something awful. keep me in the deals, i'm hooked!
