Agree totally... one for the office one for everything else.

for the office one, dates at the top of the page, new page for each meeting and just to be super obsessive, a different colour pen for each meeting, too.

oh my god, how do you remember who gets what colour?! you sound so organised, if i am working out of just one book i feel as though i am winning a small battle in the war of keeping track of everything!

Rita... .it's not who gets what colour, it's just reflecting a change in meeting or conversation, so if I am flipping back, I can look at a date and then see what different conversations are there. Then if I have to add things, I do it in another colour, so I can see annotations. And I am about the least obsessive person, I just learned to get organized! I do fundraising and this has really helped to keep things moving forward.

Now I'm completely lost.

Okkk... it's simple. I am talking to you and I use blue. THen I get a phone call, take notes in red. Boss comes in and I use pink. They you come back and I use black. Dates on the top line of the first conversation of that day. Each conversation gets a new page(s).

When I refer back, it's easy to see where one conversation starts. If I have to go back and make notes, I do it in different colours. That way I can see progression.

It's obsessive, but I did catering for a while and had to keep numerous parties straight. Now I do fundraising and PR, so that's a lot of balls to juggle.

what colour do you become if you start the conversation in pink and then go away, when you come back are you red? your note books must look pretty, but crazy!
